Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has said his players must be at their best in trainings and matches to achieve their set objectives at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Portuguese also stated that it is important for the fans to stick with the team.
“We have to be at our best in our trainings and in our matches,” Peseiro said in an interview with NFF TV.
“The fans should stick with us because we will do the maximum for Nigeria.”
The Super Eagles will come up against hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.
Peseiro reckoned the three countries will be a tough nut to crack but insisted that his players will be up for the fight.
“We will fight to win the AFCON even though it won’t be easy,” added the former Venezuela and Saudi Arabia gaffer.
“Our group is not easy because we are up against Cote d’Ivoire, who have a good squad and are playing at home.
“Equatorial Guinea reached quarterfinal at the last AFCON, better than Nigeria, while Guinea-Bissau beat us at home (in the qualifiers).
