Position Overview:
Michelle Banmen is seeking a Health Care Aide to work in Surrey, BC. This is a full-time position with a salary of $16.75 per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week. The Health Care Aide will be responsible for providing care to patients, including taking vital signs, serving meals, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring patient comfort.

Note: This employer has applied for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to hire a foreign worker to fill labour or skills shortages on a temporary basis.

Terms of Employment:

  • Permanent employment
  • Full time
  • Shift: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

As a Health Care Aide, your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Serving meal trays and feeding patients.
  • Making beds and maintaining patients’ rooms.
  • Supervising patients’ exercise routines.
  • Bathing, dressing, and grooming patients.
  • Transporting patients between care facilities.
  • Transporting patients in a wheelchair or stretcher.
  • Accompanying patients on outside recreational activities and performing other duties related to patient care and comfort.
  • Administering first aid in emergency situations.


  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate.
