The Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun, apprehended a kidnapper who posed as a scavenger in Akure, the state capital.

The suspect kidnapped an eight-year-old girl, placing her in a sack after reportedly using a charm on her.

The girl’s cries alerted her grandmother, who raised an alarm, leading to the intervention of Amotekun operatives.

The victim’s father, Mr. Bose James, recounted the incident, stating that his mother discovered the abduction in the backyard.

The suspect attacked those attempting to rescue the child but was restrained until Amotekun personnel arrived, rescued the girl, and arrested the kidnapper.

State Commander of Amotekun, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, emphasized that the quick response of residents and Amotekun prevented further harm to the victim.
