During a protest on Friday afternoon, women set fire to the residence of Michal Monday Adanchi, the District Head of Bokkos town in Plateau State’s Bokkos Local Government Area.

As reported by a local source around 12:30 am, the women burnt down the house and administrative office of the traditional ruler.

The incident began from the arrest of certain community members suspected of involvement in recent area killings, prompting the women’s retaliatory action.

The source said;

“The incident began at the police station where they expressed their anger over the arrest of some members of the community. After leaving the police station, they proceeded to the house of the traditional ruler, protesting that he was a sellout. A few minutes after reaching the house, they set it ablaze.”
