Ugandan chef Dorcus Mirembe, known as Mama D, has achieved the third Guinness World Record for the Longest Cooking Marathon.

She surpassed the previous record set by Irish chef Alan Fisher, who cooked for nearly 120 hours.

Mama D’s current cooking time stands at 124 hours and is ongoing, with plans to continue cooking until the new year, aiming for a non-stop cooking period of 9 days.

In May, Nigerian chef Hilda Baci cooked for 93 hours, 11 minutes, setting a record later overtaken by Alan Fisher in November.

Although Mama D has exceeded Fisher’s record, her official recognition as the Longest Cooking Marathon record holder awaits certification from the Guinness World Records.
